How to Use The Mozbar To Find Inbound Links For Any Page [VIDEO]

Introducing the Tip of the Day

I’ve started a new series for at my company called the Tip of the Day. These are bite-sized tips for a team that consists largely of editorial types who are eager to learn more about marketing but are very, very busy.

These videos are addressed my team and use examples from our site, but others can learn from them. If not, at least you’re getting your money’s worth! 🙂

A Couple Notes

If you’re not a Pro subscriber to Moz, you’re not out of luck. The Mozbar will still show you:
  • Page Authority: Moz’s proprietary metric that measures the strength of a page
  • MozRank: Moz’s alternative to Google’s Toolbar PageRank (which has been abandoned by Google)
  • Number of links to the page
  • Domain Authority: Moz’s proprietary metric that measures the strength of the entire domain
  • Number of social shares for Facebook, Twitter, and Google+

Here’s a screenshot of what you see:

The nice thing about being a Pro member is that you can click through to Moz’s report to learn more and download links, as I demonstrate in the video.

You can get the free Mozbar extension here. It comes in two flavors: Chrome and Firefox.

More To Come

I’ve already done several more videos on how to use the Mozbar, which I’ll also be posting here.

You can stay abreast of all of these videos by checking out my Tip of the Day playlist or subscribing to my YouTube channel. Or check them all out here:

Pro Tip: You can cycle through the different videos in the embedded playlist above by clicking the icon in the top-left corner of the playlist and choosing your video du jour.

So posting this tutorial video is something I really appreciate because I can effectively use mozbar now withour limiting myself on where to focus in it.
